In 2000, the Restaurant Association of Maryland established a “Hospitality
Hall of Honor” to recognize those industry leaders who have exhibited hard work, dedication, courage and creativity while representing the Hospitality Industry in Maryland. Tonight’s five Hall of Honor inductees all live up to the high standards set by each and every

one of our previous year’s inductees.

Since 1931, Alonso’s has remained Baltimore’s quintessential neighborhood restaurant, bar and package goods store in Roland Park. When Owner Eddie Dopkin purchased Alonso’s in 1999, the plan to rejuvenate this famous eatery owned and operated for 70 years by the Alonso family included the retention of the name and the famous burger.

Today, Alonso’s menu features a casual Italian flavor with soups, salads, sandwiches, daily pasta specials, made-to-order fresh crispy pizzas as well as seafood and chicken dishes. The packaged goods, a popular fixture at Alonso’s remains a vital part of the operation. Neighbors also now enjoy multiple televisions for sports and news program viewing in a non-smoking environment.

And, the best of both worlds is now yours---Loco Hombre’s Latin-inspired modern American tapas are now available in the Alonso’s dining room. operation.
