In 2000, the Restaurant Association of Maryland established a “Hospitality
Hall of Honor” to recognize those industry leaders who have exhibited hard work, dedication, courage and creativity while representing the Hospitality Industry in Maryland. Tonight’s five Hall of Honor inductees all live up to the high standards set by each and every

one of our previous year’s inductees.

For nearly 60 years, The Bayou Restaurant has been a local favorite in “The City by the Bay.” Originally established in 1949 by Al and Jewel DiDomenico as a sandwich shop, The Bayou has transformed and grown with the times. This year Lou and Terri Ward will be celebrating their 25th anniversary after purchasing The Bayou in 1982. Crab cakes, fried oysters, strawberry pie and other local favorites continue to be prepared by our long time employees. Our customers and our dedicated staff continue to make The Bayou the local favorite.
