This award recognizes Hot New RAM Member Restaurants that have opened in Maryland between Jan. 2005 and Jan. 2007. (formerly the Maryland Diner’s Choice Award).

Black’s Bar & Kitchen was founded by Washington, DC chefs Jeff and Barbara Black. Each of their
establishments has a distinct menu and atmosphere, gaining the praise of critics and diners alike.

Their current locations include Addie’s Restaurant with New American cuisine in Rockville, Black’s Bar & Kitchen with a Gulf Coast inspired menu in Bethesda, Black Market Bistro serving New American cuisine in Garrett Park, and Blacksalt Fish Market & Restaurant featuring Contemporary American seafood in Washington, DC.

Black’s Bar and Kitchen highlights an extensive oyster bar and exotic creations with an American, European and Asian flair. With its inviting speakeasy decor, vibrant bar, and fine restaurant, Black’s offers great food and great atmosphere—achieving a style that makes every visit an event unto itself.
