This award honors the individual of an industry supplier company that provides service, quality products and goes above and beyond to serve the industry. The nominee should be active in local, state, or civic affairs, and be recognized for achievements on behalf of the industry.

Eden & Tye INC is an amalgamation of companies started 37 years ago in 1969 by Bill and Sandy Tye. A sales and marketing agency with offices in Maryland and Virginia, they define their operator base as restaurants, healthcare, schools, airlines, colleges, convenience stores, military and supermarket delis.

Steven L Shavitz, is currently the Vice President of sales. Recipient of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Directors award in June 2005 for his support of minority business initiatives. John Brewer is currently Vice President of Secondary Markets for Eden & Tye INC and has 31 years experience in the foodservice industry, of that 14 years have been spent in the foodservice broker business.

 

As Direct Energy grows, the company is becoming more vertically integrated through the active development of our upstream gas business in Western Canada, our power station acquisitions in Texas and some ground-breaking agreements, in Texas, to take the entire output of three wind farms.
