G. Hunter’s Restaurant and Raw Bar is the fourth outstandingly unique
dining facility opened by The Fountain Rock Management Group of Frederick. In addition to G. Hunter’s, Fountain Rock operates Isabella’s, Acacia and the venerable Brewer’s Alley in
downtown Frederick.
The newest restaurant, opened in November of 2005, could easily be described as one of the real jewels for the growing restaurant management group for its modern ambiance, superb cuisine, and wonderfully beckoning
and striking golf course location. Throughout this tantalizing menu there is the hint of Cajun enchantment and regional American specialties and the freshest seafood. G. Hunter’s no doubt features the finest sit down raw bar in the area both from size and selection.
G. Hunter’s derives its identity from Grayson Hunter Bowers, Fountain Rock’s President Phil Bowers’
grandfather, who for many years
enjoyed spending happy Friday
evenings on this property and who also was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. This near centenarian and his family have been part of
Frederick fabric since its founding before the French and Indian War.
