Grapeseed American Bistro and Wine Bar develops each dish to match a specific wine. They do their best to pick out the nuances of each wine and create a dish that highlights those characteristics.

Most of Grapeseed’s dishes and wines are available in small, appetizer sized portions so restaurant patrons can sample various dishes and wines and see if they agree with their matches. However, the wines can also be served in every way depending on the customer’s preference – by the glass, in flights, half pours, half bottles and full bottles.

A talented yet unpretentious chef, Jeff Heinman, also the owner of Grapeseed, loves to share his passion for food and wine. His experience includes roles at Kinkead’s and Cashion’s Eat Place.

Washingtonian.com’s Food and Dining section described Grapeseed as a “sunny, sophisticated wine bar and bistro” where a little bit of Napa Valley comes to Bethesda, Maryland.
