Chef Upshur has been a part of Mrs. K’s for the past ten years. She acquired her passion for food from her foremost culinary influence, her mother. Chef Upshur’s Caribbean roots and acquired European and U.S. skills bring an exciting flair to her culinary palate.
A strong passion for cooking led her to the Baltimore International College in pursuit of a career as a Chef.
Taking her to The Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans , LA where she worked in all areas of the kitchen. Maurisee’s most recent award was for Best Crab Cake in the DC Metro area.
