ProStart® Teacher Bootcamp

August 17-19, 2020 from 9am to 3pm

The Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation (RAMEF) will be partnering with Restaurant Industry and Educational professionals to offer a required ProStart Educator Bootcamp. This will consist of three days at the RAMEF building to go through 9 sessions geared specifically for our ProStart Educators based on the ProStart curriculum. These three days will be hands-on and interactive for our Educators.  The agenda will include: Knife Skills, Plating and Garnishing, Principals of Great Service, Fundraising for your class, Marketing, Food Costing & Purchasing, Lesson Planning and Curriculum Writing, Purchasing ProStart Materials, Exams and ServSafe, and Field Trips!  This will be a fun three days to network with fellow ProStart Educators and learn something new!

This will be considered your certification to teach ProStart in Maryland. Every school with a confirmed ProStart Program in Maryland will be required to send at least one of their educators to this Bootcamp within 2 years of implementation. Failure to send at least one educator will result in your school no longer being a confirmed ProStart Program. This means you will no longer have access to the online materials, exams, your students cannot earn the COA and they cannot compete in MPSI.
