Organization Overview

Laperaux, The Journeymanchef's French Bistro, is an "Up County" independant restaurant owned and operated by Chef Gregory Webb, on the border of Germantown and Gaithersburg in the Cloppers Mill Plaza on Great Seneca. This high casual, open kitchen 100 seat bistro, and not forgetting it's speakeasy styled "Louie's Bar", features classic Parisian design, and a menu just as inviting. The formula is simple and time tested: comfortable, relaxed dining areas, top quality ingredients, expert culinary execution and a menu of recognized bistro classics. Chef Gregory's culinary brigade of cooks prepare everything from scratch and presents all the craveworthy bistro favorites, from escargot, steak tartare and onion soup, down to steak frites, coquilles St Jacque, coq au vin, and huge bowls of steaming mussels with crispy french baguettes, Plus a dozen or so pastries and desserts to choose from. Service is high casual, offering a bright and open full service dining hall, offering banquettes, dining tables and a few high tops, the perfect spot to drink a glass of wine from our progressive 100% French wine list and enjoy the live dinner music, or pick a table and have dinner with a veiw of the kitchen. Louie's Bar is just three steps down but a world apart, offering a quieter choice of seating, with lower lighting, tablecloths, a full dining white quartz bar top, and a community table popular with many for sharing a glass of wine and a bit of conversation.
